WhiteboardIt’s a small gesture, but supplying a whiteboard for a new Information Technology school in rural Kenya has strengthened a 3-way relationship between the former IDP camp community of Vumilia, Freedom Through Learning and Kawelle.org

Kawelle promotes self-sufficiency through development of sustainable trades in Kenya. They’ve tapped into the quality leadership in Vumilia that has been associated with Freedom Through Learning’s library partnership. Several months of planning and construction has resulted in a remarkable new IT centre – definitely a first in the region. The official opening of the centre is anticipated in September of 2013.
