In our most complex partnership arrangement yet, Freedom Through Learning has been able to connect partners in a transglobal marathon to deliver valuable educational resources to a school in East Africa. Students and staff of King’s Christian Collegiate in Oakville and Durham Christian High School in Bowmanville virtually teamed up to meet some needs of Starehe Boys Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. The transfer involved private citizens on both sides of the ocean, plus the support of Partners Worldwide. Partnerships like this one emphasize the mission of FTL to create opportunities to support education in developing nations while minimizing the role of cash donations when possible.
