Global Collaboration for Learning
It is exceptionally satisfying when partnerships can form to support neighbours within a developing nation. Some quality resources were culled from the library at the International School of Kenya and shared with the emerging community library near Maai Mahiu, Kenya. The library brings together the efforts of a local youth empowerment organization, a socially conscious homeowner, a knowledgable and generous librarian, Habitat for Humanity Kenya plus the global partners of Freedom Through Learning. Partners who have supported the project so far (including material currently in transit) include: the International School of Kenya, the American International School in Cyprus, Taejon Christian International School in South Korea, King’s Collegiate in Canada plus several private supporters in the US and Canada and the Ilkangarre Maasai Village near Amboseli, Kenya.
